Lead Longer: How to avoid the Corporate Wilderness

Overview:

Most C-suite executives are appointed in their late 30s to early 40s. However, the number of C-suite roles is declining as MNCs increasingly view Ireland as a smaller / sub region rather than a standalone marketplace. Roles in our smaller market are being used to develop younger international talent, while the rise of outsourcing and shared services further reduces the need for a large executive layer. Many capable executives now spend the latter part of their careers in Tier Two companies—often working with limited resources, less skilled teams, or in short-term consulting roles.

It’s now harder to remain in Tier One C-Suite roles through to retirement.

The Event:

This session is designed to help our executive membership community proactively avoid that trajectory.

Bob Savage and Paul Creedon, both global leaders with a bird’s-eye view of the C-suite journey, will share insights drawn from decades of navigating organizational change and leadership evolution.

They will share expert insights on:

  • Adapting to evolving business cultures and leadership expectations

  • Navigating stakeholder transitions while maintaining influence

  • Maximizing late-stage career impact while supporting long-term organisational goals

Whether you're shaping your next chapter or mentoring others through theirs, this session offers practical insights to help you stay ahead of the curve—and in control of your career journey.
